OEPS Trier 4 & 5 September 2010
The last round of 2010 OEPS season will go at the Renn-Center Trier tracks.
Renn-Center Trier has two 6 laner tracks:

How to get to the venue:
By air: If you travel by plane the Luxembourg Airport is only around 50 KM away from Trier. You can also go by train. Trains leave hourly to and from Trier to Saarbuecken, Koblenz and Cologne.
By car: By car - Trier is connected by the European motorway E44 from Luxembourg city (~50 km) via Trier to Koblenz (~100 km), E422 from Trier to Saarbrücken (~100 km).
Trier is connected to the Autobahn A6. This city is about one hour from Kaiserslautern or two hours from Mannheim

Alle Hotels liegen auf dem Weg zum Renn-Center, ihr könnt also die Anfahrt kurz unterbrechen und einchecken.
Der Ort Schweich liegt gleich am Moseltaldreieck.
Für Trier-Ruwer fahrt ihr die Ausfahrt Kenn von der Autobahn ab, dann paralell der Autobahn Richtung Trier erreicht ihr Ruwer.
Für Mertesdorf ebenfalls Abfahrt Kenn, in Ruwer links ab nach Mertesdorf, der Ort ist etwa
2 km von der Route ab.
Time schedule and tech control procedure
World Sprint Championship Provisional Schedule
There are two 6 lane tracks at the Renn-Center-Trier. Each racer will drive 6x3m on both tracks. Order to be determined by qualifying position. The total number of laps on each track will be added together to determine each racer’s total laps and final standing in the Sprint Championship.
Thursday, September 2nd
1200h Track opens for practice.
2000h Technical Control opens for any racer that has finished their practice.
2100h Track power off -- All cars to Technical Control
2100h Handout motors installed under Technical Control for passed cars in groups of 6 -- On track motor test 1x5m -- Cars to Parc Ferme
2130h Handout tyres installed under Technical Control in groups of 6 -- Cars to Parc Ferme
2300h Race Center closed.
Friday, September 3rd
0700h Track warmup with Porsche cars that are NOT entered to race.
0800h Qualifying - 3 timed laps.
1000h Race Starts - 6 x 3 minutes on BOTH tracks starting with the 12 slowest qualifiers and finishing with the 12 fastest qualifiers.
1600h Race Finished
1700h Both tracks open for OEPS practice
2400h Race Center closed.

Technical inspection procedure
To prevent a huge stack up and stress, we are totally revising the TC procedure.
Qualifying starts without any TC having been done, each team have however filled in and supplied the OEPS Scrutineers form when registering and receiving the handout.
Directly after the qualifying run the car goes into parc fermé and TC. Should the car fail TC, the team gets a time penalty, and can’t rectify the problem until the race has started and the penalty has been sat through.
The 6 slowest cars will be TC-ed first, so as to start the race as quick as possible.
The penalty for not complying with the Tech Sheet is a time-penalty of
1 minute.
DIRECTLY at the start of the race in which the faulty car starts, the team have to sit out their 1 minute, being stationary at the start, and only after that one minute, the team can start correcting their car according to the TC's wishes. And only then, the teams are allowed to start the race.
Penalties.:
Not passing initial TC = 1 minute stop & go
Not passing post race TC = -all laps of best stint
