Primary Race Direction: Lars Harryson, Børge Haug
Secundary Race Direction: Nick de Wachter and Rolf Anderson
Concours and pictures: Fola Osu
Technical Inspection: Peter Oberbillig, assisted by Sascha Kuss
Practising before the race:
- The OEPS doesn't restrict it's racers in any way to practise on any given track. Therefore you can practise whenever you like if the track is open. However, should the OEPS ORG team be carrying out work on the track in view of the upcoming race the OEPS ORG team has of course priority.
Practising on Friday:
- free, not grouped, but only with OEPS cars or similar (for example with adapted SLP cars )
- Only with Procomp3 rubber and Proslot motor.
Practise on Saturday:
Motors
- Starting the day at 08:00 when the track opens, teams can build in and test their 2 handout motors.
- Teams are free to try them both and select the best out of the two if there are doubts. The motor that is not being used at any moment has to stay on the OEPS table! So there is always 1 motor from each team present on the table.
- Practise goes on untill 10:30.
- Motors can only be put in the chassis on a specified table under supervision of the OEPS ORG team.
- Motors will only be handed out to the team after FULL payment of all drivers fees!!! Payment can be done there and then, at that very table (so here we need a volunteer guys from the OEPS 5)
- Oiling the motors is allowed, but be advised that the motors already have been oiled and track-tested. Apart from oil, nothing else is allowed to be put in the motor. If you do, well, we'll make you miserable :) so don't.
- At what time you decide to build in your motor is your own choice but we advise you to do it early morning so you'll have enough time to properly build it in your car.
- Motors can also be built in on Friday, but the car will then stay in the OEPS Parce Ferme till the following morning start of practise. On Friday no car will be allowed to run with the handout motor.
Tires
- handout tires may be prepped with inserts at any given time (also on Friday) but of course never EVER leave the OEPS ORG table!!! We advise you to prep your wheels as soon as possible, to prevent any stress before qualifying. Due to the many teams we cannot wait for anybody and therefore if your car doesn't have wheels in time you'll have to do it in your qualifying run!
- It is allowed to clean your tires with tape, before your qualifying run and before the race. This only with handed out roles of tape. It is not allowed to clean during lanechanges or after the heat.
- it is not allowed to use ANY fluids on the tires. Nor on your own testwheels!
- It will be allowed to drill out the inner 'tube' in the handout wheels to make room for deeper inserts.
- It will be allowed to put tirestickers on, of course without any fluids being used. (also no water)
Running
- Practise on Saturday morning will not be structured or grouped in any way, so be sure to get in line.
- If a member of a team is either in the waiting queue or driving, it is not allowed to have another member of the specific team in the queue or on the track.
- When a team is practicing, a member of this team MUST be marshalling. Please cooperate here.
- Cars can be equipped with handout tires after 10:30, but once they got fresh rubber, no more running is allowed and the car will stay in the OEPS Parc Ferme.
- At 10:30 the tire handout starts in groups. 3 large groups of 8 teams at a time will change tires.
- Each team will have 5 minutes to put on their racing set, which should be enough because you are allowed to prepare them at an earlier time, as you can read in 'Tires'. After this handout the cars will stay in Parc Ferme.
Race Direction
- Prime Race Direction is in the hands of Børge Haug and Pål Hanson.
- Their functions will be to work the computer, composing groups, handle qualifying order and times, setting up race modes etc.
Børge and Pål will be taking turns. Please try and be present at the right place when you need to be present. With this big entry field and tight schedule, we unfortunately cannot wait for any missing person/team. The race will be started, with or without you.
- Secondary Race Direction is in the hands of Nick de Wachter and Rolf Anderson.
- Their functions will be, 'the practical side'. Meaning, putting the right lane stickers on the right cars for a next group of teams. Hanging up actual standings on the walls. Transmitting track sections after each heat. Collecting cars that raced their heat from the track and put cars for the next group on the track.
Entry fees of drivers.
- is 15 euro per person per team.
- can be paid at any given time on raceday to Rolf Anderson, and him ALONE. However, entry fee must at the latest be paid at the motor-handout table. Without paid fees the team does not get any handout motor.
Concours:
- does not count in any way for the overall standings.
Qualifying:
- 1 minute run, fastest lap counts
- TQ gets 3 points, 2nd gets 2 points and 3rd gets 1 point.
- Qualifying run determines the composition of the groups in the race.
- After qualifying the car goes into the OEPS Parc Ferme without any work on the car allowed.
Technical Inspection.
- Will be in the hands of Peter Oberbillig and assistant Sascha Kuss.
- Inspection will start right after qualifying.
- Peter will assign penalty-time to every faulty car/team. Should there be a very out of the ordinary case, Peter will report this to the Primary Race Director functioning at that time (Borge or Pal) and then the Primary Race Director will take the most informed decision possible. Peter's job is only to detect, not to decide.
- Asking Tech or the Race Direction preceding the event if something is allowed or possible, does not hold ANY guarantee for the actual Tech procedure or race!! Just make sure you are on the safe side of things!
- After each group the cars will undergo a brief Tech inspection
- Cars will also have to respect the rules during a post-race Tech inspection.
Race:
If a team consists out of;
2 drivers, all drivers have to account for 50% of all stints (12-12)
3 drivers, all drivers have to account for 33% of all stints (8-8-8)
4 drivers, all drivers have to account for 25% of all stints (6-6-6)
Dividing order and/or number of consecutive stints driven is free.
Marshalling;
- During the heat in which your team is, you have to provide 1 marshal at all times.
Penalties:
- a 1 minute delay at the first following run for not passing Tech. Additional 30 seconds delay will follow per each individual infringement with the rule set.
(example: car A is too low, too wide and misses 2 inserts. This team will get a 2 minute penalty – 1 minute for point one, too low, 30 seconds for point 2, too wide and another 30 seconds for missing inserts. Number of missing inserts is not important, 1 missing insert gets the same penalty as 4 missing inserts)
- Only after this penalty has been sat out work may begin to correct the error. During the first lanechange the TC will check if the car now meets the rules in full.
- If a point of non-compliance with the rules is found during post-race Tech, the highest number of laps from the specific team during a stint will be subtracted from the final results.
